Behind the pulsation

AION8 is the artistic identity of Alek Irwin, a Canadian-based music producer and visual storyteller. Working under the independent label Algorithmic Infinity Records, Alek builds conceptual worlds through genre-blending compositions and striking artwork, letting the music lead while remaining intentionally behind the scenes.

With roots in electronic, lo-fi, pop, and dance, AION8’s sound is fluid: sometimes meditative, sometimes ecstatic, always crafted to stir emotion and imagination.

The origin

Of a name without end

AION8 is more than just a name, it’s a symbol of timeless creativity.  Derived from the Greek word Aion (αἰών), meaning eternity or infinite time, and fused with the number 8, a nod to the infinity symbol (∞), it represents the eternal pulse of sound and imagination.

The name reflects the project’s core identity:
Limitless expression, genreless storytelling, and a deep connection to both ancient symbolism and futuristic vision.

Every beat, every visual, every project is part of that infinite arc, a loop without end, pulsing forward.
