This spring, AION8 invites you to groove through a cinematic daydream — no visuals required.
Lo-Fi Groovy Tales is a funky, lo-fi, slightly surreal ride through a film that doesn’t exist… yet. But if it did? It would be all neon lights, dusty drum breaks, hazy summer mornings, and rooftop nights with too much soul to sit still.
🎞️ The (nonexistent) film
Built like a soundtrack, Lo-Fi Groovy Tales delivers 90 uninterrupted minutes of analog texture, soft funk, and retro rhythm. It’s lo-fi with motion — chill beats dressed in bell-bottoms and tape hiss, scored like it’s meant to be synced to a 1970s montage reel.
Across the 35 tracks, AION8 mixes vinyl-crackled chill with danceable undercurrents. Some tracks lean back. Others lean in. But all of them feel like something’s happening — like the world is unfolding in slow, cinematic motion.
🎬 Scenes from the soundtrack
Every track title feels like a cue call or a moment on screen :
- Night Patrol – neon-lit streets, synth fog, and slow turns
- Sunset Seduction – golden hour groove with a wink
- Boogie Lo-Fi – roller-skate disco breakbeat for your inner dancefloor
- Crime Scene Cool – strut into a noir scene, coffee in hand
- Floating in Lo-Fi – fade out, chill deep, drift further
- Private Eye – trench coats, high hats, and a little mystery
📽️ Now playing: the visual loop
A full-length visualizer drops alongside the album — a soft-motion, analog-styled backdrop made for long plays. Vinyl textures, subtle movement, and glowing gradients create a visual space where the groove can settle in and loop without end.
Perfect for background play. Or just vibing.
🎙️ Director’s Note
“This isn’t a soundtrack to a film — but maybe it’s the soundtrack to the kind of day you wish was a movie. A warm one. With a groove you don’t want to end.”
— Alek Irwin (AION8), Director
Lo-Fi Groovy Tales premieres April 7, 2025.
